Ed Stokes

Ed grew up in Sacramento but moved to Mt. Shasta 37 years ago when he was hired to manage the First Interstate Banks of Siskiyou County. Ed joins the MVHC Board of Directors with a BS from Brigham Young University, Teacher Credentials from Chico State University and a Masters Degree in Education from Simpson University.

During his 15 years in banking, Ed worked as the Vice President and Branch Manager for First Interstate Bank, and then as an Investment Banker at Scott Valley Bank. After leaving the finance industry, Ed became a teacher and later Associate Superintendent for Siskiyou Union High School District.

Throughout his 37 years in Mt. Shasta, Ed established himself as a servant for his community. He volunteered as the President of Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce, coached both Football and Basketball for community youth, a member of the Rotary Club and served as a Counselor Teacher in youth programs at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Ed was invited to join the MVHC Board in 2020 where he hopes to assist Mountain Valleys Health Centers expand affordable health care within our service area.
