Chiropractor
Full Time + Benefits/PTO

$80k - $110k / Year

JOB SUMMARY: The chiropractor provides direct patient care consistent with their training and expertise and appropriate to the outpatient care setting. Works as an integral part of the staff by participating in quality assurance, peer review, and other staff
meetings.


QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited chiropractic college with a current license to practice chiropractic services in the State of California. Current CPR or BLS. Ability to work well with others in a professional manner in a team-oriented environment with leadership qualities and supporting attitude toward organization. Must maintain confidentiality relating to MVHC personnel, patients, and information that could result in proprietary damage to MVHC.


REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Evaluate the functioning of the neuromuscular skeletal system and the spine using systems of chiropractic diagnosis.
o Diagnose health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining patients and interpreting x-rays.
o Perform a series of manual adjustments to the spine or other articulations of the body to correct the musculoskeletal system.
o Obtain and record patients' medical histories and maintain accurate case histories of patients.
o Advise patients about recommended courses of treatment.
o Analyze x-rays to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
o Counsel patients about nutrition, exercise, sleeping habits, stress management, or other matters.
o Obtain appropriate consults when problems presented are outside scope of practice or when unfamiliar with a particular aspect of the patient’s care.
o Recommend and arrange for diagnostic procedures within scope of license.
o Suggest and apply the use of supports such as straps, tapes, bandages, or braces if necessary.
o Support and contribute in a positive manner in clinic efforts to maintain and improve patient satisfaction in all aspects of health delivery.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting, standing, walking, bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, balancing, reaching, twisting/turning, pulling, stand up lifting up to 50 pounds, speaking/hearing on phone and in person, reading, writing, close eye work, repetitive motion of hands, fine and gross manipulation, up/down and side/side hand motion, positioning patients, potential exposure to bodily fluids, potential exposure to infectious disease, exposure to emotional crisis of others, exposure to solvents/chemicals,
exposure to public/staff/physicians, working with others, fast work pace, frequent change, frequent interruptions, independent problem solving, and travel by auto to other sites.
