Welcome to Burney

Welcome to Burney and it's surrounding areas where the mountains are steep and the green trees go on forever! With a population of over 3,100 people, Burney is a booming community only an hour away from Redding.

Burney has incredible scenic destinations including McArthur-Burney Falls State Park, Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park and Castle Crags State Park. If you are up for some hiking, running, or bird watching, we invite you to check out Burney.
